A song

Lately I've been listening to the song "Acero Chino" by Pedropiedra, together with Mauricio and Francis Durán. This song belongs to the pop-rock genre, which is part of the album "Tótem". I heard this song for the first time in September of this year, which was when the album was released.

I like it a lot because, according to some interpretations, it refers to the closure of the Huachipato steel plant in Talcahuano, an event that left thousands of people unemployed. However, for me, this song can also be understood as a metaphor for a fragile love.

The phrases that most attract my attention in the song are: "Whoever confuses price with value" and "If I want to save myself I must buy your love of Chinese steel." For some, these lines could be related to economic aspects or to the value of Chinese steel itself. However, in my interpretation, "Chinese steel" symbolizes a person who loves in a fragile way. It is a love that, although it seems strong, is actually of low quality and cannot withstand pressure. He also doesn't know how to appreciate the authenticity of a relationship, which leads to distorting or misinterpreting it.

On the other hand, another phrase that stands out for me is: "Hours are wasted hitting the metal hard and you leave me shamelessly stranded in front of my destiny." In this case, I interpret that it speaks of the effort of a person to save a weak and fragile love, while the other party does nothing to rescue it.

This love, despite all the dedication and commitment of one of those involved, ends up falling apart, since the other person decides to leave it. That is why he describes it as a "Chinese steel love": under pressure, it inevitably breaks.

My semester so far

This semester I have had to read too much, I think that in all these years at university, I had never read so much. Fiestas Patrias

One of the most anticipated festivities in my house are the "Fiestas patrias". In my family there are traditions that must be carrie out every September 18. September arrives and my grandmother automatically prepares mote con huesillo, fom the first day until the 18th, i love it. On the 16th with my mother we went to pick up the dough that we had ordered from a bakery to make empanadas. We eat the gough and make them at home on the 17th. We made 90 empanadas! On the 18th,19th and 20th, roast beef is made every day (sorry teacher:( but that´s how it is in the countryside). On the 18th I also ate anticuchos and i drank terremoto, although in my house they are more into drinking wine and beer. We spent taht week with family, my grandmother, my uncles, aunts and cousins, my parents and my brother. Even Naranjo (my dog) was happy. He is very happy when more people arrive.

A Piece of Technology

A piece of technology that I use a lot is the Canon camera, I don't remember the model very well, but I remember that I have had it for three years. At first the camera belonged to my older brother who bought it while he was studying journalism at university, but he kept it for a year and then he didn't use it anymore.  When I entered the race and we had the first field, I asked my brother for the camera, since then I have had it and practically it is more mine than his.
